Unabridged Audiobook
good story - foreshortened ending
If you love socialism you will love this book. I listened to this title all the way through, hoping it would turn and reveal the real outcome of the teachings of Marx and Mao (think Cuba or Venezuela) but it didn’t. A very biased book, glorifying thievery and condemning capitalism.
A great book that makes you think
It was okay. It kept my interest. The ending was as if the writer decided “nah, I’m done writing. I’ll just end it right here.” However, I didn’t really care that it ended either. Narrator seemed a bit breathy with his voices. It was nice that they all changed but he seemed more dramatic than necessary at times.
LOVED IT, KEPY ME ENGAGED !
This is a lovely story of compassion and hope. Very interesting characters that are well developed. I enjoyed listening to the story and was glad I had a couple days of driving to devote to it.
This book was a pleasant surprise. It was original and something different than what I would have ordinarily selected. I enjoy a different point of view and this culture certainly yielded that.
