Summary
Featuring Lieutenant Eve Dallas, Remember When blends present-day romance and futuristic suspense in a thrilling two-part novel that combines the incomparable talents of two #1 New York Times bestselling authors: Nora Roberts and her alter ego J. D. Robb.

Antiques dealer Laine Tavish is an ordinary woman living an ordinary life. At least, that's what everyone in the small town of Angel's Gap, Maryland, thinks. They have no idea that she used to be Elaine O'Hara, the daughter of a notorious con man...

Laine's past catches up with her when one of Big Jack's associates turns up in her shop with a cryptic warning and is then run down in the street. Now the next target of a ruthless killer, Laine teams up with sexy PI Max Gannon to find out who's chasing her, and why. The answer lies in a hidden fortune that will change not only Laine's life, but also the lives of future generations—including New York City detective Lieutenant Eve Dallas.

In a future where crime meets cutting-edge technology, Eve is used to traveling in the shadowy corners outside the law. She will attempt to track down the treasure Laine and Max sought once and for all—and stop the danger and death that has surrounded it for decades...

First section was great with Nora Roberts but seemed a little cut off at the end of the second J D Robb section - very predictable not like is normally written with other books perhaps written in a hurry?

I really enjoyed the Nora Robert half not so much the J.D. Robb half. Love the reader. She is better than most.

Trashy romance novel thinly disguised as a mystery - ugh!

Unless you are a JD Robb fan which I am not then no point listening past disk 7.

Filled with love and mystery. A good read for a long car ride! Would recommend.

The truth is I was (and maybe still am) done with the Eve Dallas character and the stories from that line. But this one works. The compelling nature of the FIRST story in this duo is enough to make it work for me. I lost interest to some degree, as you could see the end coming pretty early in the second half of the tale. Overall though, I enjoyed it, even enough to make it a three and a half star read, but we don't do halves here!

I don't usually listen to J.D. Robb, but found this combination of two connected stories written toward different genres intriguing. Certainly if you enjoy mystery with romance this one would be a good try.

When I realized that I had gotten another one of the "Eve Dallas" books, I was really bummed out. I had listened to one some months ago, and really hated the character. This story, however was a home run. First, the author has somewhat mellowed the Eve Dallas character into what is now just a powerful, strong willed, and talented woman. This is fine as opposed to the the screeching, whining feminist that I saw in the earlier book. Anyway, that being resolved, the story was unique in its setup ( I don't want to say more without screwing up the plot for someone). It was a truly entertaining listen with characters that I enjoyed very much. Try this one out!!

A real treat with two stories in one. Good lead up to the Dallas work. I want more. Thanks for keeping it interesting.

I am totally hooked on JD Robb, but haven't really gotten into Nora Roberts' other books. REMEMBER WHEN has changed my mind about reading Roberts' other books. I ought to have known that Roberts can write well no matter which name she's using. REMEMBER WHEN kept my interest thru-out the entire book and I loved seeing "the next generation" from the 1st half. I love that Lane actually saved herself, even tho' Matt (& cops) got there right after, and development of Lane’s dad. Kudos to Roberts for the way she develops Lane’s history and weaving it into the story so naturally. And, the problems for Eve and Roarke w/ that "old flame" added an interesting dimension in the 2nd half The grandson-bad-guy was somewhat formulaic and predictable, but I'm too in love w/ Eve's & Roarke's world to object strongly. Good story, interesting twists and turns. Hope all Roberts' non JD Robb novels hold the same in store for me!

I loved this book from the beginning. The story line draws you in from jump. Very exciting with just enough twists and turns. I liked the courageous spirit of the female characters.

Enjoyable - only thing would have enjoyed more of an intertwining of the stories - a little disjointed. When the first have ended found I wanted to hear more - and then the second part started, it was enjoyable, but completely, and I think too completely separated.

A love story like no one but Nora Roberts can tell. The twist of this one is that J.D. Robb writes the second half and it's very interesting.

I had read this book (back when I had time to sit down and read) and loved it then and I still enjoyed it now. I love how Nora Roberts (aka JD Robb) entertwined the stories from today and the future. It is a great read! I recommend this to anyone who is a Nora Roberts/JD Robb fan or just someone who enjoys romance with a little mystery.

Overlapping multi-generations into a romantic mystery really works for this book! I was transfixed by the stories and the way they were interwoven. Great read!

Great listening. My husband even listened to it, and he too thought it was great. We both agreed, however, that the love scenes got a little too long. We fast forwarded through a lot of them.

I really enjoyed this novel. The reader used various voices for characters which helped distinguish them. I didn't enjoy the 2nd part quite as much as the first. If you only wanted to listen to the 1st part, that makes a good "listen" all on its own. This book set kept me engaged during my daily commute!

Great dual mystery. Would have been 5 stars except for the hokey love story, which makes it more of a romance than a bonified mystery. Although the overall story is exceptional, it could have been much shorter. At times, I was tempted to call it quits (about the 11th or 12th cd), but I wanted to find out how the author closed the story. Worth the listen if you are patient.

As a huge fan of Nora Roberts & JD Robb, I'd already read this one, but wanted to hear it. The continuation of one story by advancing 50 years in another story is very entertaining. If you haven't read this author under either name, this is the way to get an introduction to both writing styles. Obviously, the stories are great (as always from Ms. Roberts), but I enjoyed hearing this reader portray my favorite characters. Very well done!!

This book was awesome. I am a fan of both Nora Roberts and J. D. Robb (one and the same). I comb the shelves in stores every month and go to my online book club in hopes of finding a new release by her. I've actually read this book (not listened) -- it's just great. It's a wonderful idea that she has come up with on this. The first part, written in our days let's us learn about how this family became to be a family. Then it switches over to about 50 years in the future and Eve Dallas shows up to grant justice for all of the victims and finds the jewels. I loved it!!!! Wonder if she will do another in this manner????

Wow, I thought this book was over at first and then wondered why I had so many discs left! What a great surprise because I have read other stories with the character "Eve Dallas" in them before and was just blown away when she showed up on the second part of the book! Great story and it all tied in well at the end, an excellent read!

What a novel idea! To have a book by two authors (same person) with varied writing styles. As always, this author is so outstanding. She has such talent and brings the story to you in such a way that you feel you are there, experiencing it all. Two books in one. The ultimate heist, murder, love, greed...a great listen.
