Summary
In 1836, when she was nine years old, Cynthia Ann Parker was kidnapped by Comanche Indians. This is the story of how she grew up with them, mastered their ways, married one of their leaders, and became, in every way, a Comanche woman.

Excellent read. The narrator did an amazing job. I was enthralled after the first sentence in the first chapter and could hardly wait to get back to listening to it every time I had to put it down. It took place in my state of Texas and we are currently arrowhead hunting over some of the areas in the book. My mother wrote in our family history book how my great grandparents encountered the Comanche Indians at Dilworth when the settled there in the 1870’s. Our history entwines with what historical events occurred in this book.
