Unabridged Audiobook
Very familiar with the classic All Quiet on the Western Front, this follow on work is beautifully written, powerfully descriptive and very well narrated. More then one hundred years separates the World War One participants from those returning military today but the extreme difficulty in re-adjusting to civilian life, the sense of futility and questions about sacrifice are still the same. If you know a prior service individual having difficulty post military especially with regard to PTSD this book is strongly suggested reading. F. Scott Fitzgerald used the term, "The Lost Generation," this book will explain that meaning.
