Summary
The international bestselling romantic comedy “bursting with warmth, emotional depth, and…humor,” (Entertainment Weekly) featuring the oddly charming, socially challenged genetics professor, Don, as he seeks true love.

The art of love is never a science: Meet Don Tillman, a brilliant yet socially inept professor of genetics, who’s decided it’s time he found a wife. In the orderly, evidence-based manner with which Don approaches all things, he designs the Wife Project to find his perfect partner: a sixteen-page, scientifically valid survey to filter out the drinkers, the smokers, the late arrivers.

Rosie Jarman possesses all these qualities. Don easily disqualifies her as a candidate for The Wife Project (even if she is “quite intelligent for a barmaid”). But Don is intrigued by Rosie’s own quest to identify her biological father. When an unlikely relationship develops as they collaborate on The Father Project, Don is forced to confront the spontaneous whirlwind that is Rosie―and the realization that, despite your best scientific efforts, you don’t find love, it finds you.

Arrestingly endearing and entirely unconventional, Graeme Simsion’s distinctive debut “navigates the choppy waters of adult relationships, both romantic and platonic, with a fresh take (USA TODAY). “Filled with humor and plenty of heart, The Rosie Project is a delightful reminder that all of us, no matter how we’re wired, just want to fit in” (Chicago Tribune).

This book is immediately charming, with enough plot intrigue and great character development to make the listener care about the Project and it's players. The narrator gave a great performance.

Central character takes some getting used to but becomes increasingly endearing as he faces challenges to his logical approach to all things. A well constructed plot that brings all threads together in a satisfying conclusion.

It was charming and a fun easy read. I didn't realize it took place in Australia until I listened to the audiobook. It was fun to listen to it with the Aussie accent.

It did not read as a chick lit novel and very witty. I was enthralled from the first chapter. I had audible moments of laughter and "awwed" more than once and I have never done that.

This was one of my favorite books ever! As other reviewers have stated, I found myself laughing out loud every time the main character opened his mouth. Despite his difficulty interacting with others he was very likable. This is a great feel-good book. I think a lot of people have some OCD characteristics so reading about someone who is majorly OCD should be eye-opening. The narrator was perfect!

I thought the book was pretty good...predictable but good. Happy Hollywood ending...perfect for a movie. The narration could not have been better in my opinion.
