Summary
Alan Titchmarsh's sparkling new novel is a delicious blend of humour and romance, and a resounding affirmation that there is no such thing as the generation gap.
The voice on the other end of the phone was severe. 'It's your grandmother.' 'Yes?' 'She's been arrested.' Nick Robertson has become used to his grandmother Rosie's dotty behaviour. At 86, a widow now, she is determined that before life passes her by, she will live a little. Or preferably a lot. It wouldn't be so bad if Nick had nothing else to do, but with a job to find, two warring parents to cope with and a love life in terminal decline, he would prefer his grandmother to get on with things quietly. But, Rosie insists, there is no time like the present...

Great story that weaves its way through often challenging and difficult family dynamics and misconceptions about family members. Very sweet how the characters grow together as they reconnect and recognize each other’s journey’s. Wonderful parallel to what so many of us experience in life. Delightfully narrated by the author who keeps you engaged.

Perfectly adorable. This is mostly about the love between Nick and his grandmother Rosie. I bond I wish I could have had. And the narrator makes it all feel like very real people.

let me start by saying, this is not a book I would have ordenerly picked up , not my cup of tea...... I think the phrase is. I do my listening up and down the motorways of our green and pleasant land. I mainly listen to detective stories and thrillers. looking through VIP rewards and came across this little gem. Mr Titchmarsh walks you through a rollacoster of emotions. He paints an incredible and truly believable story, with colourful characters. Rosie...... well all I can say about Rosie is i wish I had a grandmother with her spirit. This book moved me to tears more than once. I recommend getting out of your comfort zone and giving this book a go. Thank you Mr Titchmarsh for a superb book .
