The best! This book has everything you need to fear the dark. One of my favorite Stephen King books.. As I listened I could picture my own town slowly but surely being overtaken by vampires. That is the magic of this book, it almost seems plausible It makes me wonder what kind of man Mark Petri becomes and do he and Ben ever have peace in their life again?

I finally read this novel! It’s been on my list forever. I’m glad I read it. I enjoyed a different take on a vampire story. Will I read it again? No. The narrator was great!

Thrilling, terrifying and captivating. One of the best. Listen in candlelight and give yourself over to the imaginative writing of Dr King and the vivid narration of my man Ron ????????

This is one of the most iconic epic SK novels to date in my opinion. It gives the reader/listener every thing they need to love the story!! Greatest vampire novel hands down. Truly terrifying and will make you not want to read at night!

The book starts off slow and the narrator doesn't find his stride until later into the story. After that, it's really hard to stop listening.

Excellent novel, the narration was smooth throughout and the plot was plenty interesting to grab your attention throughout.

Greatest vampire novel of all time, narrator makes the world of Jerusalem's lot come alive and impossible not to pay attention to. A masterpiece of horror.

I enjoyed this narration. The book was slow at the beginning but picks up.

This is a disappointing narration - I love all of Stephen Kings work but this I cannot finish. Not Good!

Oldie but goodie!!! I had not read this one in a LONG time. As usual, Stephen King did not fail to bring his A Game. Love You Mr. King!!!!

Cool story, I like how the narrator uses his voice for some of the characters. Wasn’t quite as scary as I’d hoped

King is a beast! His way of describing things makes me feel like I’m actually there. The narrator is FANTASTIC. He not only nails the male voices but captures the female voices perfectly. That’s rare in my experience. He made the book so much scarier

One of his best. It's a slow burn start but it sets up the rest of the book so we'll. King truly is the master.

Fantastic book! My favorite Stephen King so far. I honestly think this one is far better than the other popular ones of his. The narration was perfect.

This was the absolute worst narrator for a Stephen King novel. It was like a 17 hour 90’s action movie trailer.

Fantastic book. I've seen both filmadaptations but never read the original story. King is the master of slow build-ups and this combined with the setting of the story in a small town a lot of us can relate to makes it just that more frightening. When it comes to audiobooks of course a lot hangs on the narrators shoulders, Ron McLarty does an excellent job of breathing just the right life into it. Thanks you for this great experience.

The narrator sounds like a computer generated voice.

One of my favorites by him, love the impending horror and slow feelings of dread and fear. One of king’s best works!! Must read.

The story is great. The audiobook is not. There are no chapter or track listings. It’s just one long file, so if you are going back and forth between the audio and printed books then it’s very difficult to find your spot. I like to listen in the car and read at home and you couldn’t do that with this audiobook. The narrator (from what little I listened) was good.

My favorite King book so far!!!! The story is creepy, captivating, and doesn't lose sight of reality when it begins to explore its more supernatural elements. Made me feel like this could have really happened in some small town off the beaten trail. The detail that King goes into throughout the entire story made the book very easy to imagine and kept me interested from start to finish. Great book!

Sound quality is a bit off and the lack of tracks is slightly annoying but over all and enjoyable experience

If you were looking for a boring blah story that'll never pull you in this is the book for you. I have quite a collection of Stephen King audiobooks but I must say this one is not his best work.

I absolutely love this story. It's one of my favorite Stephen King books, however, I wasn't super impressed by the narrator. Some parts he did very well, others not so much. The other audio books I've listened to were narrated much better.
