Mitzy is planning a haunted house fundraiser for the local animal shelter. Coinciding with the with the haunted house there is a book signing for a famous chef at Mitzy’s book store. When the chef is found dead Mitzy ends up in the middle of the investigation. This is now one of my favorites in this series. What can be better that Mitzy and Halloween. I love Mitzy, Pyewacket, Ghost-ma, and the rest of the Pin Cherry Harbor crew. The mystery is well plotted with plenty of twists and turns. The secondary story is full of just as many surprises as the mystery. There were a couple moments that stopped my heart (I can’t say what I don’t want to spoil it.) I listened to the audio version. The narrator is get at bringing Mitzy to life. She has a great voice and captures just the right amount of snark that we know and love from Mitzy.
