Summary
A timeless classic on “Hell’s latest novelties and Heaven’s unanswerable answer”

A masterpiece of satire, this classic work has entertained and enlightened readers the world over with its sly and ironic portrayal of human life and foibles from the vantage point of Screwtape, a highly placed assistant to “Our Father Below.”

At once wildly comic, deadly serious, and strikingly original, C. S. Lewis gives us the correspondence of the worldly wise old devil to his nephew Wormwood, a novice demon in charge of securing the damnation of an ordinary young man. The Screwtape Letters is the most engaging account of temptation—and triumph over it—ever written, offering insights on good vs. evil, repentance, grace, and more.

If you are a Christian or just a fan of C.S. Lewis, THIS is essential reading. I do not think I could spoil anything about this book that has not already been said. To listen to an apparition of evil discuss morality in such a perverse and clinical way is fascinating, and it further shows the intelligence of Mr. Lewis. I recommend this book to ANYONE who is a fan of the genre and honestly wants an interesting take of the morality of good and evil through the lense of one of England's most philosophical Christian minds. Spend the credit. You won't regret it.
