Summary
In this suspenseful New York Times bestseller, a chance encounter between a successful lawyer and a rebellious bad boy will change life as they know it forever, as their pasts catch up with them . . . Colin Hancock is giving his second chance his best shot. With a history of violence and bad decisions behind him and the threat of prison dogging his every step, he's determined to walk a straight line. To Colin, that means applying himself single-mindedly toward his teaching degree and avoiding everything that proved destructive in his earlier life. Reminding himself daily of his hard-earned lessons, the last thing he is looking for is a serious relationship.

Maria Sanchez, the hardworking daughter of Mexican immigrants, is the picture of conventional success. With a degree from Duke Law School and a job at a prestigious firm in Wilmington, she is a dark-haired beauty with a seemingly flawless professional track record. And yet Maria has a traumatic history of her own, one that compelled her to return to her hometown and left her questioning so much of what she once believed.

A chance encounter on a rain-swept road will alter the course of both Colin and Maria's lives, challenging deeply held assumptions about each other and ultimately, themselves. As love unexpectedly takes hold between them, they dare to envision what a future together could possibly look like . . . until menacing reminders of events in Maria's past begin to surface.

Rich in emotion and fueled with suspense, SEE ME reminds us that love is sometimes forged in the crises that threaten to shatter us . . . and that those who see us for who we truly are may not always be the ones easiest to recognize.

“Okay." Terribly shallow characters. It’s fiction but the plot line is completely unbelievable. The narrators accents are irritating.

Enjoyed this book. Story kept my interest. Narrator was good. The only voice that was a little off was the Southern accent. I recommend this author and title.

The first half was great but I disliked the second half. The second half was more about the mystery and not much about the love story. Not my favorite Nicholas Sparks book.

Great story! Couldn't stop listening expecting the death of either main character due to His books always involve a death and heartbreak. So glad for the surprising ending. Would love to see the movie, hint hint

I thought it was a great book. The beginning was a little slow but he had to set the storyline. I wish the ending wasn't such a crazy climax then Boom! Over! Personally, I thought the narrator did excellent given how many female voices he had to do. I really enjoyed it over all.

I enjoyed the book, as I enjoy all of Nicholas Sparks' books. I didn't care for the narration at all though.

I loved this book. It was a bit slow in the beginning but it really picked up toward the middle. The story line was great. I thought the narration was the most disappointing thing about the book. They should have had just hired a male and female narrator. Having only a male narrator speak both parts was extremely disappointing and irritating. If it wasn't for the narration issue I would have rated this book 9.5.

Loved this book. I found the mystery aspect of it much more thrilling than N.S.'s usual novels. I was pleased with the ending.

This was a good book, the only thing keeping it from being great was that the storyline drug on before reaching its climactic dramatic events. Overall worth the listen, I just have loved other books of his more.

This poor narrator has to do 10 different voices. He did great for the circumstances. As for the story it keep me interested and I enjoyed the action/drama/suspense. Good read.

Was a good book to listen too, liked how it was not the same type of love story that is the norm. Narrator did a great job when voices went from female to male, flowed nicely. Would love to read a follow up story with what happens with the UFC fighting.

I thought it was a nice change as far as plot and mystery as well as ethnicity and typical sparks male characters. Good read, thought the narrator did a great job even with his female voices... All in all entertaining and good

Enjoyed this book and the narrator as well. Not the best Nicholas Sparks book, but good plot and work-up to same.

This book seemed like Nicholas Spark was trying to step outside of the "Happily Ever After" and True Love stories. It has a love story within a thriller theme. The characters development felt organic, but parts of the story seemed to lag as they developed. It was worth the read, but I probably will not be re-reading this.

It was ok, not one of his best books. I was a bit bored at the start. It got better toward the end has the mystery unfolded. I didn't like the way the narrator spoke when he was portraying a female in the book. But I finished it and now on to the next!

Not the best Sparks book- disappointed and didn't like the narrator. It's was unbearable listening to his "Maria" voice! And she is a main character.

Not what I expected from the author . I didn't expect murder mister and it was dragging.

I really enjoyed listening to this. There were even times I giggled a little when the narrator would try to sound like a girl for the female characters. It kinda sounded like the drag queens in the movie To Wong Foo! lol! I hope this is made into a movie. There was a gopd balance of romance and some suspense which kept me interested. I recommend listening to this.
