Unabridged Audiobook
The Silent Woman gave me “Verity” and “The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo” vibes in the best possible way! Jade moves in with her new husband Wells and he has an unusual setup. His ex-wife Sylvie lives in the guest house. She had an injury years ago and unable to communicate or do much… Or is she? Although it was predictable and I guessed all the twists I still really enjoyed this story! It was addicting I couldn’t put the book down, it was such an amazing page turning thriller with themes of strong women, great character development and amazing storyline. I highly recommend reading this if you want to read a truly incredible page turning thriller that you can’t stop reading!
A bit predictable, but well told
Great book, was glad that I listened!! Highly recommended. Plot was kinda predictable, but a great listen nonetheless.
Predictable but still good.
A little boring at the beginning.
I truly enjoyed this book. Narrator was good and I looked forward to getting to my car to listen more.
It’s ok. I found the ending a bit flat. I thought there would be a dramatic twist but there wasn’t.
Easy listen a little predictable but a nice twist.
Nice book
The narrator was okay, but the story lack a strong finish. I liked the build up. It was a nicely paced burn; however, it seemed like the author needed to meet a deadline, much like Jade in the story.
It was a predictable story but kept my mind engaged enough on a long drive.
Liked this book a lot! Entertaining and kept you interested to the end. Would recommend.
Really good read. Loved it!
I liked it. Definitely would recommend.
Held my attention. Great narrator. Easy to follow.
This was a well written book and the narration was excellent. Great word choice, engaging, kept me guessing. The ending was good and final. I’m left a huge fan of all the women of Westmore. I’m now a huge fan of Lakin…this is my second book (first being The Only One Left) and now I’ll be following her for her next thriller! The narration is equally important, if not more, than the story itself. I am very picky. Bravo!
I really enjoyed this one, it kept me guessing the whole time
It's a really good, well laid out book. It had me guessing for quite a while
I enjoyed this book and the way it was told.
Very interesting story.
It was a good read.
I enjoyed it.
Was a really good listen, lots of twists and turns.
loved this book! narrators voices were pleasant & appropriately affective.
It's a book that should've been a very short story. The narrator was good. I could've used my free credit on a good book.
Not my usual listen, but I found it very well read, and a very engaging story. I recommend this book for an easy listen :)
This was an enjoyable thriller with a storyline a bit different from the norm. I guessed the ending but there were some good twists in the tale. It was my VIP book choice for this month and I listened to it over two days. I thought the narrator was good too.
Hard to put down and keeps one guessing who’s the villain. Excellent narration.
Loved the narrator! Fantastic plot. The ending seemed a little rushed, but still loved the book.
I liked the narrator for Jade much better than the one for Sylvie. Story very predictable but it was engaging.
Kept my attention
Gripping story well narrated
Worth the listen. I enjoyed it overall. Was hoping for a plot twist at the end.
Unexpectedly a great read! This was a VIP free book and my expectations were low. Highly recommend.
Not a bad story, but somewhat predictable.
Great storyline! Keeps you guessing til the end.
I feel like this book was overall ok. If you’re wanting something easy to listen to within the genre this is perfect for that. I could see an avid mystery “who done it” reader listening to this and not thinking it was amazing. But for the few I have read I thought it was good. The narrator was good!
Great read. I figured the ending but I was wondering the whole time
Loved this book, best one I have listened to in a long time. It keep me interested throughout and great ended. So many books are average with a great twist at the end, this book is fabulous throughout and still delivers a great ending. Highly recommend!
Devoured this, aurally speaking. The narrators are good and the tale absorbing.
Enjoyed the twists and turns. Easy listening.
Pretty good read, made the miles fly by as we drove. A little predictable, but had some good twists. Readers were pretty good also.
Great read with unexpected twists!
Really nice listen.
Amazing casual listen! Loved the spin on the classic "murder" mystery. Very satisfying ending!
Really enjoyed this book, few great twists and well defined characters.
I loved this book! Kept a good pace, a lot of plot twists and I really enjoyed the narration. Well worth the credit!
Good plot, lots of twists, bingeable
I enjoyed it. It was not a great twist and turn book, but it was enjoyable and well written. the narrators did a good job.
Entertaining story that definitely helped pass the time.
The book was good but the end was predictable
Loved the book. Five stars!
Great book! The twists and turns were plausible and left you guessing.
SO good! Great writing.
Unusual plot which I enjoyed and had me intrigued so held my attention.
ok but too slow.
I enjoyed this book very much, it kept me guessing and slowly unveiled the story behind his first wife. The narration is pleasant. I look forward to another book of MK.
I listened to this after listening to The Silent Patient. They are both great books, well worth a listen.
Fairly good overall and keeps you constantly revising your theories as you go, but waltzes right past the perfect setup for a final twist at the end for a finish that feels like a let down in comparison. Feels like the author had it in mind at first and just couldn't connect the dots so settled for the "easier" route.
