Sixteen-year-old and not-so-openly gay Simon Spier prefers to save his drama for the school musical. But when an email falls into the wrong hands, his secret is at risk of being thrust into the spotlight. Now change-averse Simon has to find a way to step out of his comfort zone before he's pushed out—without alienating his friends, compromising himself, or fumbling a shot at happiness with the most confusing, adorable guy he's never met.

Incredibly funny and poignant, this twenty-first-century coming-of-age, coming out story—wrapped in a geek romance—is a knockout of a debut novel by Becky Albertalli.

I read the book before, and I really liked it. When I saw the audio version in the app, I knew I have to buy it. The narrator is perfect for simon. He is doing an excellent job here, and in other books as well, from what I heard. really 10/10.

Honestly, just a good read. Hits a lot of true points in how our society and culture handles teenagers and the pressure we put on them to be a certain way. There were a lot of important moments in this book that puts things in perspective.

I had no idea what to expect. My friend told I should read it and I am so glad I did! One of the most relatable books I’ve listened to! The book was well written and Michael Crouch’s narration was fantastic! The second I finished I ordered a hard copy of the book...I’m not even kidding! Everyone should read this book! I can’t wait for the film adaptation!

This book is so sweet and familiar. The narrator really relays the subtle emotions. I cried a few times and had flashbacks of such familiar feelings. I couldn't stop listening.
