Unabridged Audiobook
McLarty's female dialogue sounds like a dwarf on helium
The Sixth Man This is the first book that I have listened to from David Baldacci, and I was not disappointed. I found that the book moves along very nicely. It was good character development, and plenty of action, and even some unexpected twists at the end.
Awesome book, great series!
I was intrigued during the whole book. I absolutely love having these two narrators. They work well together.
I love all of David Baldacci,s books! My father is now reading his books
This fast paced mystery, action, suspense, taking sides and grasping your attention until the very end, with a twist. You really don't know WHO DONIT. This read is not easy to analyze and the conclusion you reach before the end - will not be true.
I am a fan of all Baldacci books. King and Maxwell are two of my favorite characters. This book did not disappoint.
Returned it after the first disc; stilted and forced. Surprisingly poor writing.
If you are a Baldacci fan - this is a good one! Maxwell and his side kick Michelle do not disappoint!
One of the best of the King & Maxwell series! I would highly recommend this book!!
Excellent audio book with lots of turns and twists, especially the last disc. Well written and well performed.
I LOVED this book. One of the Best I ever read. I Highly Recommend this One!!!!
A very promising plot compromised by lazy sloppy writing and plot development. The dialog between the characters was childish.
I enjoyed the story and the twists and turns. However, the audio recording was a bit odd. It has a male and female reader doing the male and female voices. The female reader thought the female characters all had to have southern accents, which was a bit tedious. There are also audio effects - gunshots, car crash noises, etc. I was listening to the book in my car and about swerved off the road at one point thinking I'd hit something. I had a good bit of the intrigue figured out, but I must admit I was surprised at the end.
This is my third David Baldacci book and if was great. Ron McLarty and Orlagh Cassidy did the narration and I liked have a male and female narrators. This book has lots of twists and turns as Sean King and Michelle Maxwell, x-secret service now working as P.I.'s for attorney Ted Bergen who is defending Edgar Roy and E-6 at a CIA contractor who is accused of killing 6 people. The story winds behind FBI, CIA, Homeland Security, 2 different state and local police and a killer going after attorneys and police. Lots of suspense and nailbiting twist and turns in the story. You will enjoy.
A real page turner. Like most Baldacci books, there is a bit of info-documentary regarding the agencies involved, but it is a nice balance...makes traffic jams OK!
