The narrator brings to life the characters and the overall history.

Not quite as good as the first book but still a good read with a good ending. The Narrator is great. Looking forward to reading the next in the series. The Sound Mixer needs to learn his job better though.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I especially love the narrator. If I have anything to criticize it is that the narrator's voice modulates in volume too much. I found I was constantly adjusting the volume on my earbuds as his voice grew louder and softer. He puts a lot of emotion into his narration, which increases the suspense, but it also challenges the listener.

After listening to the first Max Wolf book i immediately downloaded Tony Parsons second book in this series. Gripping to the end and narrated perfectly. The narrator of an audio book can make or break it for the listener- and in Colin Mace’s case I’d actively seek out books he’s narrated. 5 out of 5 from me

I really like Max Wolfe, even though he is subjected to an inordinate (and scarcely believable) amount of cruel torture in both books I've read thus far. But I really enjoy the human side of the character created by Tony Parsons. His interaction with his 5 year old daughter, is truly endearing and makes one overlook his masochistic tendencies.

Good book. Based in London. Going to read another by the same author

This book a vip choice. Good book. Graphic and touched on some topics of abuse and murders. A police story based in London. The narrator has the English accent which went well with the story. But when he talked his voice was load then slowly got softer. Made it difficult to hear. Had the app setting for loud. The phone set as loud as it would go and the external speakers all way up. When driving and listening just couldn’t hear the soft end of his voice. I listened to the last hour of the book sitting. Glad I did. The ending was very good.

Decent story, but narrator's whispering makes it inaudible at times.

Excellent read held my interest all the way through

I was interested all the way through and it was nice for a change that there was no silly romance story except his love for his little daughter. I really enjoyed the narration and accent.

What a great read, had me connected to the story from beginning to end. The author did his homework and it shows in the details, from the little things of describing in detail the police firearms.

Found this to be very graphic. Very good story but gruesome
