Very good I enjoyed it

This was my first audiobook and it made a good impression. The narrator did an amazing job with distinctions between the characters. The storyline is interesting but loses me with many questions. I’m guessing following the series will answer them. I enjoyed the world building and character building created by Raasch.

I really enjoyed the narrator for this book; she has a way of doing distinct voices for male and female characters without sounding ridiculous (at least in my opinion). It makes listening to the story so much better when you aren't distracted by someone's falsetto or whatever. The book itself is pretty entertaining, despite not being wholly fresh or original in the plot department. The world-building, too, could use some work, mainly because there's a lot of questions that stem from the concept of having 4 kingdoms perpetually stuck in one season, as well as 4 kingdoms that have all four seasons. How does winter grow literally anything? What makes them impervious to the cold when other people from different kingdoms are affected by it? Anyway, overall a great read/listen, and I'd say worth the time if you're already a fan of the genre.
