Unabridged Audiobook
The complaints on this story are valid. The characters are inconsistent in their competency. I won't lie. There are areas of character work that can make someone cringe at how they are. The chicken that is not a chicken is ridiculous, and in many ways, this story suffers from the same problem that Stone of Tears suffers from as the first quarter of the story should have been shorter and was not as necessary as later plots, which needed more time and development. My problem is that no matter how bad this story is, the ending is not what you see coming when you start. That ending will hurt you and prepare you for the best book in the series: Faith of the Fallen.
Very entertaining with an interesting plot line. Gave the narration a little lower score because the pause for chapter break was so long that I would start check the connections thinking I lost service. Became a little annoying
Enjoying this series. Characters are easy to love or hate.
The journey continues, if in hardback or paperback it would definitely would page burner.
By far the worst fantasy series I have ever read. I kept reading and reading hoping it would get better and I was so far in I didn’t want to give up. Big mistake on my part. Just awful, goodkind steals from every fantasy series imaginable and destroys every idea with his brutal writing style. Stay away from this series.
Terry Goodkind is a True Master teaching the readers wisdoms in a metaphorical world that parallels the dangerous world we now live in.
Has hours of boring parts but they paid off in the end.
Difficult to follow, much politics and less adventure. The bigger part was boring and with lousy characters! I hope the others will reach the excellency of the previous ones
I wish this author was more consistent. Sometimes the characters are geniuses and other times they are dumber than a bag of rocks. I will admit this author is fairly knowledgeable about the psychology of manipulators and cult leaders. That being said the only consistent thing in this series is that all the books have the same story line.
This is a great series. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
