Summary
The chilling tale of the undead in a galaxy far, far away.

“This is the Star Wars of every horror fan’s dreams—gory, funny, and brimming with a blood-spattered cast of swashbucklers and space-zombies.”—Seth Grahame-Smith, author of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies

When the Imperial prison barge Purge—temporary home to five hundred of the galaxy’s most ruthless killers, Rebels, scoundrels, and thieves—breaks down in a distant part of space, its only hope appears to lie with a Star Destroyer found drifting and seemingly abandoned. But when a boarding party from the Purge is sent to scavenge for parts, only half of them come back—bringing with them a horrific disease so lethal that within hours, nearly all aboard the Purge die in ways too hideous to imagine.

And death is only the beginning.

The Purge’s half-dozen survivors will do whatever it takes to stay alive. But nothing can prepare them for what lies waiting aboard the Star Destroyer. For the dead are rising: soulless, unstoppable, and unspeakably hungry.

A little hard to follow in some areas but over a great job. Narrator was great.

Almost forgot that it was Star Wars, until the introduction of fan favorite characters and even then - it’s still like some otherworldly horror space fiction. It’s an amazing read and listen. The characters are phenomenal, but don’t expect many heroics. There’s no winning or losing. No big battle where being clever and crafty will win the day. These are people who are scrambling for survival.

the range in his voice made it very gripping and easy to understand who was talking. the book itself was very graphic, describing everything to the smallest detail, including the creatures. A couple of confusing parts were I had to back track but overall very good book. would reccomend for anyone into horror.

A very nice twist in the Star Wars universe. George Romero meets George Lucas. The narrator does a fantastic job bringing the characters to life. Perfect blend of score and sound effects add great tension. This could be a great Star Wars presents film, really fun and very interesting.

This novel... This thing scared me more than anything H.P. Lovecraft wrote, and it scared me more than the Dead Space novels did. Definitely recommending this to anyone who’s a fan of horror and Star Wars.
