Abridged Audiobook
Well, the book does have quite a bit of action, I'll give it that. Want to hear about Luminara and Baris dueling, Obi Wan's wisdom and get tidbits of Anakin's impatience? It's here. No new ground covered here. As a movie, action works when you can see the lightsaber duels. Perhaps just my preference when it comes to Star Wars novels but I want to hear about some of the uncovered events that led to Sidious's rise in power. More on the rise of the Confederacy. There is some on the latter, but for some reason I didn't find it as satisfying as even Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter or Cloak of Deception. Only recommended for the fans of the series and even so set your expectations accordingly.
I started to read this book 3 times but never finished it. When I saw it was available on here I thought I'd be able to finish it for sure. I ended up forcing myself to finish it. With a little story at the begining and end it is Obi-wan and Anakin become cowboys in the old west. Riding across the plains for days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days and days.
The background noise makes the listening experience terrible.
