Unabridged Audiobook
a moving story, not of an African Farm but of certain people's lives branching from the farm. the narrator used a shrill voice that hurt my ears at times but it was only for a few characters. besides that they did wonderful.
Interesting setting and points of view considering the period in which it is set - a little long-winded for my taste though. Suitable narration with acceptable level of characterisation throughout.
Good South African narrator. Some interesting views on life are projected by the characters of Lyndall and Waldo in the story - views way ahead of the Victorian time of writing. Quite a strange book but worth the read
Narration is excellent and so in tune with this novel. It is a pleasure to listen to.. The book is a classic and a must read for anyone interested in early feminism, imperialism and South African history.
