The story is interesting and well paced. For a light read, I liked the story and this author, Robert Crais. I’m not a big fan of this narrator, David Stuart, however the story is engaging enough to overcome the lackluster performance.
This was a different reader from the other Elvis Cole Books and it was a hard adjustment to make. He did not have the same strengths as the other reader. The story was top notch . That’s why the reader’s work was so frustrating.
Very enjoyable characters, but more of a "how catch- em" than a "who dunnit".
Narrator seemed approriate for the character.
Smooth reading. Enough drama to hold my reading interest and not enough to become gory.
I can only give this book a 2 out of 5 only because of the narrator! By far the worst narrator i have ever heard! If men w/ speech impediments don't bother you than disregard this write up. But if you cant stand to listen to someone that sounds like they have marbles in their cheeks and cant pronounce an "s" then i suggest you just go to the library and read it yourself!
The actual story is really good, typical Crais.
