Summary
A rescue mission turns into a fight against a force more powerful than they could have imagined.

With the amulet still stuck around her neck, Addie must outwit her powerful captors who will do anything to get to the power held within the ancient artifact. If they find out she doesn't know how to use it, she's dead.

Meanwhile, Clark and a ragtag team of Addie's friends dive into a strange and dangerous world as they pursue those who took her. High-tech pirates, ruthless societies, and terrible secrets bombard them on their journey.

As they discover more about their world and about each other, friendships are tested and trust is strained. Can they do what must be done without breaking the bonds that held them together for so long?

All the stars!! I love this series so much. I’ve read it a couple times now, and these narrators have done such an incredible job at bringing the story to life. There’s action, romance, twists and turns. Despite knowing the story already, I couldn’t stop listening!

I loved this book in print and loved it even more in audio format. The narrators are fantastic and really add to the tension between Clark and Addie (oof sometimes it was TENSE ). However, I still maintain that when Cris narrates any reported clauses (she added dryly, for example) it sounds as if it was recorded at a different time than the speech itself. Once you get over that, and if I can anyone can, this audiobook is simply addictive and the end? I thought I cried enough at the print version but apparently I needed to cry a bit more when I could hear the pain. I loved this and can't wait for the next two books to be narrated.

My heart. The Tempest Sea has always been my favorite out of the series. I swear my heart breaks a little more every time I read it. That’s even more true hearing the emotions of the ending through an audiobook. Throughout the first audiobook I struggled with the denial narrator. To me she always sounded like she was gasping for air. But as I got more into the second book, I didn’t notice it as bad. I love this book so much. The story always gets better every time you read it no matter what format.
