This reading is unbelievable. Truly a great sequel and excellent voice work.

Narration was excellent!

After seeing the series THT on Hulu I decided to read this. As with most normal people, the series shook me to the core. As we witness this dystopian wet dream literally playing out in American politics this book hits hard and close to home. The ending is very uplifting as it describes the fall of Gilead but I don’t think our country and society will survive the real life hand maids tale being written as I type. I wish there were an audio book for the Handmaids series. I want to feel this has prepared us for what we will soon be facing but I don’t think anything can prepare us for the horrors that Margaret prophesied. Stay safe my American friends. Rage on. In a world full of Nancy Maces and Margery Taylor Greens, he a MAYDAY operative. Be a June.

Interesting continuation of the first book. Narration - very well done!

Honestly so good I listened to it in less than 2 days. I enjoyed the parts with Aunt Lydia the most because it really shows how complex of a character she truly is.

I thought the story line was not creative. The writing was tedious and unimaginative. Many of the voices on the audio were dull and difficult to listen to. All in all this was a huge disappointment. Because of the popularity of the handsmaid tale, I’m sure this will make a lot of money (which may account for the reason it was written without much effort to write a thoughtful, imaginative story) but I doubt it will win any awards. I read a lot. This is the first time ever that I felt a need to vent a negative critique.
