Summary
Why You Need To Be Minimalist?

Do you find that your cluttered home makes you more tense than comfortable? You don't think you have the time to dedicate yourself to things that are important to you? Would you think things and unwanted distractions run your life instead of you?

I've had exactly the same issues as you, and I can tell you that becoming a minimalist is an incredible way to regain control of your life. The big news is that there's no strict rule or row to become a minimalist.

Minimalism is a theory of focusing only on the essential things. A minimalist approach means that you're not cluttering your life with unnecessary things, and that you've made it as simple as possible. By embracing minimalism, every person is free to determine his or her own limits. One thing is certain–becoming a minimalist will make you feel better, happier and healthier in no time at all!

The book contains well-proven steps and techniques to live a minimalist way of life and to embrace the fact that less is more. This can act as your guide on your path towards minimalism and help you decide why you're taking on this lifestyle. In fact, it allows you to set your goals and disregard other patterns or tangible things that weigh you down.

This book was neither. It was a run down of all the awesome things they now experience in their lives as minimalists. Halfway through I started to feel like they were rubbing my nose in it.

I basically highlighted the whole book. For me, this will not be a one time read. This is definitely one to revisit every so often to see how your outlook on life has changed and what you can work on. The first time reading it was a real wake up call. It slapped me in the face with accountability and realization. "Have I really been worrying about this my whole life? It isn't even important".

I chose minimalism because I was interested in the lifestyle prior to reading. As soon as I started the book, I knew that I wouldn't be able to put it down. I spent hours just reading and highlighting. I highlighted parts that were meaningful to me and made me reflect on my own life...

I think to get the most out of this book, the reader would already want to make some quite big changes in their lives. Although there is some justification for why they both did it, this part feels more autobiographical than an attempt to persuade directly. However, if a reader knows they want or must make some changes to avoid feeling crushed by the consumerist more, more, more culture, then I think this book might be really helpful

I know how fantastic it is to be a minimalist, or at least I think I do, what I need is a book to help me figure out how to get there and keep me motivated after I start.

I really do like their other minimalism centered media.... just not this book. The book feels like someone explaining how great it is to do laps in the deep end while you're working up the nerve to dip your toe in.

Minimalism is the thing that gets us past the things that clutter our lives so we can make room for life's most important things - which actually aren't things at all. i love to listen this book again.
