Summary
The Three Sisters is a terrifically romantic Cinderella story about daring to believe in yourself, your family and love.

Maya's life is in ruins. She is broke and grieving the loss of her mother. When her father suddenly reveals to her that her biological father is the rich businessman and 'travel king', Axel Kildesøe, who has two other daughters as well, her life is turned upside down. Does her new family even want her?

Although a lengthy story, it unfolded well and became compulsive listening. As a NZer, the attempt at a New Zealand accent hurt my ears. Apart from that, thoroughly enjoyable. Look forward to #2 in the series.

I didn't actually finish this book as the narration made it hard for me personally to listen to. Seems like it would be good for younger listeners. Had a young soap opera/telenovela kind of vibe. With that said I would still give a 3.5 to the narrator if I could because she put in a good effort and came up with many different voices for all the characters. At the same time they were a bit exaggerated for my liking and made it hard to listen to. Almost seemed theatrical.

I’ve stated this before that it’s a shame. The author does not listen to the narrator before it gets out there for listening enjoyment. She made the woman characters sound like they were giddy little children, and Maya‘s father sounded like he has been constipated for quite some time.

Danish listener here. It took me such a long time to understand that "Kildesøe Rejser" was a travel company! The mix of Danish pronoun and English pronunciation confused me so many times! Just translate it into English, much easier to understand than the bad pronounces. And there were alot of translations of Danish expressions that just sounded weird. Story was okay, but the ending was a little underwhelming.

Pleasant easy listening story. The voice for the main character was a little bit “girlie”

Slow to start. But when it finally did was an ok story. A bit disjointed. Just when you think the MFC is going to finally act her 27 years, she turns back in to a 15 year old girl. A decent easy read to pass time. Good narration.

Good reading. No surprises as most of it is given away in the beginning. Very predictable.
