Unabridged Audiobook
Good read. And the narrator does a good job portraying the characters
Narrator did an excellent job. I struggled to get involved in the book. Seemed a bit dragged on. More of the paranormal than romantic . Would've like to read more about the soul mates reconnecting and their love affair. Romantic scenes too short.
I’m not usually a big angel fan in my paranormal books. I’m old fashioned. Give me vamps and werewolves any day over fairies, angels, or other paranormal creatures. However, I do love a unique fantasy world with some different origins to the vamps and werewolves, and Sylvia Day delivered there. I loved the concept of this book. I also love the twist on reincarnation and soul mates. And, I loved the hero and the heroine. So, if I loved all those things why is this book only a 3.5 star read? One word: world building. To pull off a story like this it takes a lot of world building, and sometimes that can get boring and drag on a bit. That being said, some of my favorite series started out that way for me. I love the Kate Daniels series, but had to struggle to get through the first and second book. Now it’s a favorite. I see that potential in the Renegade Angels. There were parts of this story where I struggled to continue, and there times when things didn’t seem to fit with the world she was building. But I definitely like it enough to keep going and see where it leads.
