Unabridged Audiobook
I love the droning narration of Clive Chafer reading Peter Ackroyd's "Tudors: The History of England from Henry VIII to Elizabeth I". It's the second book in five volumes--so far, of England's history. I might have read it before. I might have heard or seen a TV series built around it. It seemed so familiar. It came out in 2014, which means . . . . oh never mind. It was comforting to listen to such gruesome things that I knew already and just follow along. I guess it was like listening to a favorite musician. I could play SolitaireLite on my cell or put together jigsaw puzzles and relax. I am going to get the next volume and see if it has the same effect. I am not as familiar with the period on the English side, so I don't think so. I was not relaxed at all prior to volume 1, which I found very interesting. I wouldn't mind listening to that again.
