Summary
Inspired by The Hobbit, and begun in 1937, The Lord of the Rings is the saga of the great War of the Ring. As he crafted the alphabets, languages, and landscapes of Middle-earth, J.R.R. Tolkien created one of the most popular and imaginative works in English literature.

The Two Towers is the second volume of The Lord of the Rings. The Fellowship has been forced to split up. Frodo and Sam must continue alone towards Mount Doom, where the ring must be destroyed. Meanwhile, at Helm’s Deep and Isengard, the first great battles of the War of the Ring take shape.

In this splendid, unabridged audio production of Tolkien’s great work, all the inhabitants of a magical universe—hobbits, elves, and wizards—step colorfully forth from the pages. Rob Inglis’ narration has been praised as a masterpiece of audio.

So much of life and wisdom is in Lord of the Rings. Rob Inglis adds to the written word by doing all the voices expertly (which is difficult when the voices are women's) and his singing adds a dimension missing from the written word. The set of all three recordings, one for each book, is a treasure.

Loved the book. Tolkien is always and forever a legend among fantasy authors. The narrator truly brought the characters to life. Already looking forward to reading /listening again.

Best book of the trilogy! Some of the best characters and plot are found in these passages, and every piece moves the story along without the extended start-up of Book 1 or wrap-up of Book 3.

This is a thoroughly enjoyable rendition of this book. Robert Inglis does a great job and makes all of the characters sound believable. The reading of the book truly transports the listener to Middle Earth.

I could and do listen to The Hobbit, and all three of the Lord of The Rings recordings over and over. Rob Inglis is a superb narrator and really brings the characters to life.

Rob Inglis is extremely talented. He has a voice for every character and even sings the songs in each person's voice! The parts involving Treebeard when I read them used to bore me, but because of the interesting and whimsical rendition of Rob Inglis, i listened intently and with delight. Listening to this beloved series, which I have read many times, becomes fresh and new with voice of Rob Inglis.

Great voices and really pulls me into the story. Particularly his gollum voice. For a novel that is so near and dear to my heart, I appreciated this rendition.
