Summary
Ulysses S. Grant was the great hero (for the North) in the Civil War and the 18th President of the United States. This short biography is only 145 pages in a little pamphlet size. The author is famous for his stories of the Old West, but he also wrote a substantial body of nonfiction literature. (Summary by David Wales)

Narrator was excellent... good pronunciations and enunciations... and appropriate inflections though read a bit slow was better to listen too at 1.3-1.5x...

Book was uninteresting to me and the author was too vague in his descriptions of the events and character of General Grant.

Nice summary of Grant from his early life through the Civil War. If you are interested not in his success and integrity but his faults and failings look elsewhere. Respectful treatment of an American hero. Narrator was average for a LibriVox recording.
