Abridged Audiobook
Weber continues to craft his Honorverse his way. He fills it with great definitions and descriptions of political systems as well as histories and myths and also battles. The battles however aren't as important as the general description of the human element in its many different worlds and how they interact and how they succeed or fail. For anyone who likes to get the whole story David Weber is the author for them.
I have read this entire series numerous times. It has been one of my favorite science fiction series for years. You SERIOUSLY need to aquire the rest of these books here. It would be an instant sell for me, however I will not buy this until I can get the rest of the books as well. The low narrator rating is because, as I said above, I haven't listened to it yet and won't tease myself with it until the others are available.
Too Bad that the other books in this series are not available. as it would be interesting to hear Weber's move to be the latest Forrester.
This is a serious DUDE. I never thought I would read a novel that contains the word "war" in the title without presenting a war within its text. The novel covered all of the nitty gritty details of politics that surrond a war and spent little to no time presenting the war scenes. The only thing that kept my focus through this novel was Barbara Rosenblat's EXCELLENT READING / INFLECTION OF VOICES. Barbara is simply the best I've heard to date, its a shame the material she was reading wasn't worth the paper it was printed on.
