Summary
Nowhere is safe when the gods are wicked.

Since the beginning of times, there has always been two sides: Norms and Idols. But never have the scales been so unbalanced as they are today.

I'm a Norm, which means I grew up in fear of the Idols and their godly powers. And now, I'm going to be surrounded by them, day and night. I've been offered a place at the prestigious Gifted Academy, an opportunity very few Norms get.

To survive, I must become invisible. But my hope to get through the academy unscathed goes down the drain when the most powerful boys in school set their eyes on me.

They hate me simply because I'm a Norm. If they knew who I truly am, they'd tear me apart limb by limb. But I'm done cowering away from Idols. It's time for the Norms to fight back, and it all starts with me.

Contains mature themes.

Loved this book will definitely be moving onto the next one. There is a cliffhanger. It's more of a series than stand alone book lucky the others are out. This is more of a slow burn. Love the world building and characters.

The book was amazing! The narration was incredible. It kept me hooked. I really enjoyed the female and male narrators. If you enjoy reverse harem, enemy to lovers books then you will love this.

I absolutely loved this book. Not only was the story solid and compelling, the narration was excellent - I especially loved the narration of the guys. I instantly bought the second book (in ebook) and continued reading because I had to know what was going to happen next.

Once I started listening to this audiobook, I could barely stop. The narrators did a good job and the plot was compelling me to keep going. I am a big fan of a female character with a strong personality and Michelle Hercules delivered. Daisy had to grow up fast after a traumatic event in her past and it clearly forged her personality. I've read a review of someone stating that Daisy forgave the Idols too easily. I am usually pretty annoyed when that happens, but I didn't share the experience of said reviewer at all. With that being said, let's talk about the boys. I love how the multiple points of view gave us more insight in all the main characters. Certain backgrounds broke my heart, others piqued my interest. This book left me confused, but in the best way, because at this point it's hard to distinguish friend from foe. One thing is clear: power corrupts. But who is fighting for the right cause. So many questions need answers. The main question remains: what role will Daisy and the boys play in this story? My main concern? I want a certain someone someone to be stopped ASAP.
