Well done book with multiple narrators... It was difficult to hear the N word often, but the word was unfortunately actually used in real life during the time period of this book.

This is a good book. It’s heavy and sometimes hard to read for an empath. It helps the reader see how awful war is and how hard the times were. Interesting stories of the characters. I recommend it, but not from faint of heart.
