Summary
The classic story of how Rat, Mole, and the other river-bankers saved Toad from his excesses. This book has it all: excitement, sentiment, destruction of private property (plenty of that), paganism, and a happy ending. The prose is beautiful and occasionally requires the use of a dictionary - I had to look up "asperities." Written as a children's story, The Wind in the Willows is enjoyed by many grown-ups who relish Grahame's ability to evoke the long summer days of childhood. (Description by Adrian Praetzellis)

Wonderful story and not just for children! A cleverly written story chock full of humor and a good natured swipes at human nature. Beautifully narrated. I’ll look for more books read by this narrator. Thank you!

Always loved this story. The narrator was AMAZING. He really captured each character to the point where I cried at one point because I felt so sorry for Toad! (I’m 40 years old for goodness sakes!)

My name is Lola Weston and my 8 children and I love listening to this! It’s such a peaceful story calming and relaxing, exciting and adventurous, sweet and silly, and SO MUCH MORE! My children of various ages: (Ellie 14, Nora 12, Bella 10, Tanner 9, Austin 7, Billy 5, Joan 3, Stephanie 1 week,) and all love this story and fall asleep listening to it each on something different Ellie, Nora, and Bella listen on Ellie’s phone, Tanner, Austin, and Billy listen on the iPad, and Joan and Stephanie listen on my phone! They love it so much and they are very much in love with this story and every night beg and beg to listen to it they’ve been listening every night for a year now and I always ask them “don’t you want to listen to something new” but they say “No! No! No! Please mom let us listen to it” and I finally give in saying “Well it is a wonderful book” and they race up the steps screaming “The wind in the willows! The wind in the willows!” And I just laugh, saying “My my what am I going to do with them” So please take the time to listen to this PEACEFUL AND RELAXING REFRESHING AND AMAZINGLY WRITTEN BOOK. The Wind in the Willows!

Whimsical, fun, comical, and sweet...a great listen for any age. Enthusiastic little characters! Adrian Praetzellis is THE BEST narrator (in my opinion). He does an exceptional job at all the different character voices.

The combination of these stories and this narrator is a cure for insomnia. Listened to whole thing because I dislike quitting, but couldn't wait for it to end.

Like sitting down with my grandfather to read me a story….delightful listening experience on a classic children’s tale! We should hold children’s stories to a much higher bar…the vocabulary, the intrigue, the lessons taught so beautifully; it’s all just a wonderful experience!

I grew up with stories from The Wind in the Willows through film but never actually read the book. I can't say it held my attention. There was definitely a lot of stopping and starting. I did like some of the life lessons and the narrator was excellent.

I've always loved this book, but WOW! This narrator really took it to a new level! His voices are great, and he really is phenomenal showing the emotions of the animals... Mr. Toad in particular! I am going out of my way to find other things he's done. Best VIP selection EVER!

Besides this being a classic book it was read to perfection. The highes the lowes lead throughout the story for complete enjoyment beginning to end.

Although this book is very well written with very descriptive details of emotions, characters, and events, it was hard for me to stay focused on it. Maybe too much detail? There is no way a child would be able to follow this book. Long and drawn out boring
