Unabridged Audiobook
I read this book for a college class. Overall, it was informative and engaging. One note however is that I feel like it was trying to balance being a true historical naration with the authors desire to add in her own ideas. Although the archaeological evidence used supports the authors ideas, at some times the writing felt too speculative if that makes sense. At times, these interpretations were very insightful, such as when she comments on how ancient people may have actually viewed Hatshepsut. At other times, the comments caught me off gaurd, specifically when discussing her marriage to Tutmose II. Regardless, it was still an interesting book and I would listen to it again.
