Unabridged Audiobook
I love this Louise Penny series. This one was excellent.
Typically excellent Penny job where feelings and history come to the fore with a clever locked room mystery where there is a painting and not a body and the how is of far less interest than the why.
I love the Gamache series but was a bit taken aback on this installment. Pedophilia is such a horrific subject. The story did keep me in the edge of my seat until the end though.
Fine story, well told!
Loved the book. Louise makes me think of an old favorite of mine, Agatha Christie. There is a crime to solve and she uses the thoughts and minds of the detective to lead you to the solution. There may be a modicum of violence in the action but the true solutions are most often cerebral. I did figure this one out from the clues but there are always a few surprises.
Loved the book. And the stories of strength and tenacity.
One of the best in the series
Great book, very suspenseful
Another great Gamache!!
