I heard about this book by a PBS documentary about uranium. I must confess that I am not someone who gets into Science Fiction books; For me, they're hard to get into. The idea that a novelist like H.G. Wells would mention Atomic Bombs in 1914 has tremendous consequences today. No wonder Sci-fi fans like him so much!
