Unabridged Audiobook
I keep coming back to this story. Anastasia Watley does a great job brining Laurie and Diana to life. The characters have great chemistry and you can almost feel them yearning for each other. And once the spice starts…it’s like watching fireworks.
Great chemistry between the main characters, and a fresh take on familiar lesfic tropes (age gap, ice queen/boss). Sex scenes were original and hot. Narrator Anastasia Watley does a great job.
What you get- A LOT of spice with this age gap power dynamic romance and YES, intelligent people do crazy things for love! While the main characters struggle with defining their relationship, all is laid bare to us (the readers) and that makes the story draw us in even further. Ms. Sinclair, the author, knows how to make romance sizzle and the reading by Ms. Watley takes the chemistry between the lead characters and makes it jump off the page and come to life! There are few things sexier to me than intelligence, courage, vulnerability and simple compassion. These characters possess all of these qualities and more! I feel like I missed some of those moments and conversations where these qualities and these two women shown brightly. If I could ask for one thing, it would be to see (hear, read) more of those big life altering moments and those likely funny behind the scenes, conversations and challenges. How did they pick the next personal assistant and the driver and figure out who they can trust, who stood with them and who bailed when things became known, what was unique and not predictable about their situation as it evolved? There is a conversation about dinner- simple but profound- that is beautifully done! Romance is a thousand little things that hold us back or enhance the experience. These are incredible characters! I hope they have more to share with us and I hope the author will add more to their story!
