Joseph Koenig is a crime writer whose novel Floater was a finalist for the Edgar Allan Poe Award for Best First Novel in 1987. He followed his debut with three more novels in close succession, culminating with Brides of Blood in 1993. After a twenty-year absence, his critically acclaimed False Negative marked his return to publishing in 2012.
