David E. Sanger has received numerous journalistic awards, including being named twice among The New YorkTimes reporting teams honored with the Pulitzer Prize. He has also been awarded, twice, the Merriman Smith Award for his coverage of national security, the Weintal prize for diplomatic reporting, and earlier this year he and his colleagues won a DuPont Award. Sanger is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Aspen Strategy Group.
